Expertise
  • Dr. Dushyant’s expertise lies in the surgical management of benign and malignant tumours in the head and neck region, including tumours of the mouth, pharynx (throat), larynx (voice box), sinuses, salivary glands and thyroid and parathyroid glands.
  • He is experienced in performing minimally invasive surgeries, namely robotic surgeries.
  • Dr. Mandlik’s special interests are in the oral cavity surgery and reconstructive surgeries following head and neck cancer surgeries, which is essential not only for cosmesis but also for functional rehabilitation of patients. He has developed innovative resection and reconstruction procedures, such as temporoplasty.
  • Dr. Mandlik has handled more than 3000 cases so far.
Training and Certifications
  • He has received his specialty training from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kerala, India, and Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, the USA.
  • Dr. Dushyant has completed his robotic surgery training from Severance Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.
Recognition
  • Dr. Dushyant is a lifetime member of G-SHNO (Gujarat Society of Head and Neck Oncology). He is also a member of the Association of Surgeons of India and the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India.
  • He has been awarded the UICC fellowship for a project on Head and Neck Reconstruction in 2014.
  • Dr. Mandlik is also involved in training the next generation of head and neck cancer surgeons. He is also the coordinator of Head & Neck Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program at HCG Cancer Centre. This program draws talented young head and neck surgeons from all over the world who travel to HCG Cancer Centre to learn the latest surgical techniques for the treatment of head and neck cancer.
  • He is Secretory for FHNO Institutional Fellowship which is a National Training Program for Head Neck Surgical Oncology.
  • Dr. Mandlik has contributed several research papers in peer reviewed Journals. He is reviewer to many national and international journals also. He has lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally.
  • He is Executive Committee member of Foundation for Head and Neck Oncology, The National Body.
  • He has attended numerous workshops and CMEs on head and neck surgical oncology.
