• Dr. Hemang is the pioneer of radical prostatectomy surgery for Prostate cancer in Gujarat since 1997.
• He is an expert in robotic, laparoscopic and open surgeries for genitourinary cancers - mainly dealing with radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer, radical cystectomy for bladder cancer. 
• Dr. Hemang is a pioneer in the surgery of radical prostatectomy in Gujarat; he has performed more than 700 open and more than 300 robotic radical prostatectomies. He has more than 500 robotic uro oncology surgeries to his credit.

Training and Certifications

• He is the only urologist in the state to receive the prestigious SIU international scholarship for advanced training in Uro oncology abroad.
• Dr. Hemang was trained by Dr Catalona and Dr Clayman for laparoscopic and open uro oncology surgeries in 1997 in St Louis, USA.
• He was trained in Robotic Uro Oncology Surgeries in Orlando, USA. He has conducted the highest number of Robotic Surgeries in the city of Ahmedabad in private practice.

• Dr. Hemang is a member of the American Urological Association and Societe Internationale d‘Urologie.
• He has been a principal investigator in clinical trials on Uro Oncology.
• He was the president of the Ahmedabad Urology Association.
