  • Dr. Mariusz Marek Ostrowski has a special interest in breast surgeries along with oncoplastic and reconstructive surgeries.
  • Dr. Mariusz regularly attends international and national workshops, courses and meetings related to breast oncoplastic and reconstructive procedures including lipofilling. Having worked for many years with a plastic surgeon in aesthetic surgery, he began breast reconstruction in 2010.
  • He has performed over 2500 independent operations. 2000 major breast operations, which include sentinel node biopsies, breast-conserving surgeries, therapeutic mammoplasties, mastectomies, axillary lymph node dissections. 
  • Dr. Mariusz also performs immediate/delayed breast reconstructions, skin-sparing mastectomies with implant/expander based reconstruction with SurgiMend or TiLoopBra as well as LD and pedicled TRAM. 
  • He has handled about 6700 cases so far.
Recognition
  • He was awarded a research scholarship at Nagoya University School of Medicine, Japan 1997-1998.
  • Dr. Mariusz received a grant for his PhD research from the State Committee for Scientific Research, Ministry of Scientific Research, Poland. He has also received annual research grants from the Medical University of Gdansk between 1995-2001.
