• With over 8 years of vast experience in adult & paediatric haematology and oncology, Dr. Suraj’s areas of interest include treatment of blood cancers and blood disorders, which include aplastic anaemia, sickle cell disease, thalassaemia, acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, acute myeloid leukaemia, acute leukaemia, multiple myeloma, Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, myelodysplastic-myeloproliferative syndromes, platelet disorders, haemophilia, and other bleeding disorders.
• He is also experienced in performing autologous and allogeneic blood and bone marrow transplant for haematological and oncological malignancies and benign conditions, like thalassaemia.
• Since the inception of BMT programme in December 2020 at HCG Cancer Centre, Mumbai, Dr. Suraj has performed 35 cases of allogeneic bone marrow transplants including the complex cases of haploidentical, T-cell depletion, and matched unrelated donors and autologous transplants for life-threatening disorders.
• He has performed more than 600 bone marrow transplants in the last 8 years of his practice.
