Through our thoroughly-planned multidisciplinary treatment approach, we come up with customised treatment plan for each cancer type based on the type, stage and the patient’s overall condition. In other words, rather than treating a certain cancer kind, the treatment will be tailored to the patient.

Our multidisciplinary team includes highly-qualified and experienced surgical, radiation, and medical oncologists, as well as experts in pain management. This core team is supported by a qualified and trained team of doctors, dietitians, physiotherapists & psycho-oncologists who will be providing continual clinical support throughout the patients’ cancer journey.

This personalised approach positively impacts the treatment response and recovery among patients.

Diagnostic Services at HCG Manavata Cancer Centre

HCG Manavata Cancer Centre houses advanced diagnostic modalities in order to achieve accurate diagnostic results and thereby have a better understanding of the disease.

PET-CT Scan: PET-CT is an advanced molecular imaging technique that is used to detect cancers and other benign health conditions. Tumours, both benign and malignant, can be easily detected as they appear as bright spots during the imaging. A PET-CT scan is helpful in cancer diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, restaging and treatment monitoring.

Gamma Camera: Gamma camera is another imaging technique for cancer detection. This method involves a radioactive tracer being injected into the patient’s veins. Cancer cells absorb this tracer in larger quantities due to their high metabolic activity and emit more gamma rays. A gamma camera captures images of these emitted radiations, and a special computer then enhances these images. Later these images are studied by the physicians and accordingly the diagnosis is made.

Gamma camera supports cancer diagnosis, staging, treatment planning and therapy monitoring.

Mammography: Mammography is an imaging technique that uses low-dose X-rays to examine the breasts for the signs of benign or malignant tumours.

MRI Scan: MRI scans help in tumour detection by taking exceptionally detailed images of various organs like the brain, spine, prostate, uterus and liver. They also help specialists in differentiating between benign and potentially hazardous masses.

Ultrasonography: This is an ultrasound procedure that assists specialists in differentiating between benign nodules and malignant ones.

Digital X-ray: Digital X-ray helps in detecting structural abnormalities within the body. A Digital X-ray scan is helpful in the detection of lung, stomach and kidney cancers.

CT/USG guided FNAC & Biopsies: This is one of the accurate diagnostic methods that provide detailed information about the anomalies present in the body. During the procedure, a needle is used to collect the tissue sample, which is further examined for the signs of cancer. It helps in the pathological diagnosis of organs that are deeply located within the body.

Interventional Radiology: Interventional radiology is a medical subspecialty of radiology that utilises minimally-invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every organ system.

The centre also offers onco pathology services, such as histopathology, immunohistochemistry, molecular oncology, cytology, biochemistry and microbiology.

Radiation Oncology

HCG Manavata Cancer Centre is the first cancer hospital to have some of the most dynamic radiation therapy programs for successful management of various cancer types. The centre houses advanced radiation delivery platforms, namely TomoTherapy H and Versa HD to deliver various forms of radiation therapy such as Image-Guided, Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).
